First day in and we have split into two groups to do a little scouting and biking along ocean drive. While one group of photographers took the design district of Miami to scout, which we will be shooting on the 3rd day, Sunday, Jen, Wendy, Cole and myself took South Beach and Ocean drive. We will be shooting this area tomorrow, Saturday.
The 3 looks we will be shooting in this area are Little Havana (a Cuban/Havana inspired look), Beach Bum (which only makes since being at the beach and all) and a third look we coined Winter Boho. The Little Havana look we are shooting in an area called Espanola Way. It’s very Cuban influenced with its architecture, shops, and restaurants. The Beach Bum and Winter Boho look we will shoot at the north end of South Beach.
The other group is scouting the Design and Art District, which we will be shooting in and around on Sunday. It’s curated with galleries, boutiques, art museums, design companies and such. With this being a high-end creative area, we chose to shoot what we called Color Express, Editorial Suit and Black Lightening styles.
