This time of year always marks the transition between my yearly model teams. Toward the end of each season one of my models receives the opportunity for an expense paid destination session to somewhere amazing!
I pay for them and their mom's airfare and lodging.
I belong to several different professional senior portrait photography associations. One of those groups is called OneCollective.io. Each January (this year we temporarily moved it to the end of February) a number of professional senior photographers from across the country get together in a cool city to shoot, collaborate, get really creative and help recharge each other so to speak. Each has the opportunity to bring one of their models. Those models get the incredible experience of working with other senior photographer from across the county and also get to meet and make new friends with their peers.
This is an opportunity of a life time!
This year our destination is Las Vegas, and Averi Goecks was selected by our One Collective family to be the lucky recipient of the trip. It was a difficult choice.
Over the next couple months Averi and her mom and I will be preparing, getting her styled and getting excited for our adventure!
We will be shooting 6 locations and have 9 looks... or styles if you will!
